2Unique is the coming together of two jewellers combining over 60 years of experience in design and craft. The rich heritage and origins of 2Unique enable John and Eoin to take a unique approach to designing exclusive pieces of jewellery.

John Byrne began his career as a jeweller age 14 and served under some of the top jewellery craftsmen of the time, apprenticing as a master model maker. 

In the 1980s John saw an opportunity to emigrate to Canada and there on Bloor Street on Toronto had the opportunity to work on million dollar designs for exclusive clientele. 

John's desire to return to Ireland saw him sell his own store in Canada and bring home his passion and expertise to join with Eoin McDonnell in setting up 2Unique. 

With his father setting up his first workshop in Dublin in 1958, Eoin McDonnell comes from a tradition of jewellers. Eoin graduated Trinity College Dublin in 1994 and at age 22 went directly into jewellery design. Discovering a love for Diamonds early on in his career Eoin studied under and worked with some of Europe's and Canada finest diamantaires specialising diamond grading and diamond cut quality analysis. Eoin has created jewellery for European royalty and considers the opportunity to create one off designs in Ireland a privelege. Eoin was appointed Diamond adviser to the North American NACTA jewellery retailers association, is a former chairperson of the Federation of Jewellery Makers of Ireland and currently is responsible for training and education for the same organisation. 

The launch of 2Unique gave John and Eoin the opportunity to combine skills experience and expertise to offer unique designs from their workshop in Dublins Grand Canal Quay.
